What are Non-Human Identities?
NHI management is the structured administration of all digital identities that do not belong to a human: service accounts, API keys, OAuth tokens, bot credentials, CI/CD access, and AI agents. They are created automatically in every deployment and are often never captured in IAM.

Why NHI management is now a priority
- NHIs are created in AWS consoles, CI/CD pipelines, and SaaS integrations without ever appearing in OIM, an IGA tool, or PAM. No owner, no audit trail, no offboarding.
- A large share of NHIs carry more permissions than they need, because no policy exists.
- Many cyberattacks start with compromised identities. NHIs are the preferred target: no MFA, no behavioral baseline, no manager to notice an anomaly.
Modern NHI management with Identity-Team
What we actually do
We analyze your environment systematically: which NHIs exist in Active Directory, the cloud, SaaS, and CI/CD pipelines? Who is responsible? Which credentials are active without an owner?
We help you define responsibilities, build lifecycle processes, and integrate NHIs into your existing IAM infrastructure.
NIS2 and DORA require demonstrable control over all identities, including machine identities. We translate regulatory requirements into concrete technical measures.
What sets us apart
Tool-agnostic expertise
Tool-agnostic IAM expertise that goes beyond individual platforms. Where we are strong, we implement ourselves. Where we are not, we bring in the right partner.
Regulated industries
Our clients are companies in banking, critical infrastructure (KRITIS), and pharma, under NIS2, DORA, and BaFin pressure. We know the regulatory requirements and deliver solutions that stand up to audits.
Direct expert contact
No corporate machine, no ticketing system. You talk directly with the expert who knows your environment.

Do you know how many NHIs are active in your infrastructure?
Most companies cannot answer this question. Our assessment gives you clarity – in a few days and without requiring an ongoing project.
